Binero dyndns

I have an old Synology DSj NAS that inom want to use for DynDNS. Now Synology does support DDNS but does not komma with my DynDNS provider, Binero, preconfigured. Follow these easy steps to add support for Binero DynDNS in your Synology NAS

Prerequsities - Verify that DynDNS is correctly setup.

  • Use curl or a browser and call man sure you set EMAIL, PASSWORD, HOST and IP
  • You should get a response that says good or similar.

Add Binero DynDNS to Synology

  • Use SSH and log into your NAS.

  • Edit and add the this block at the end of the file

[Binero] modulepath=DynDNS queryurl=?hostname=__HOSTNAME__&myip=__MYIP__
  • Now log into your NAS and open and click on Add in the DDNS flik. Binero should now be in the list of Service Providers

  • You’re all set up! You should see your service provider and hostname in the list and ställning eller tillstånd should be

DNS¶

General concept¶

Using our DNS feature, you can use the platform to control your DNS (domain) zones. In order to start using the feature, first add one or more zones, add the pointers (A, MX, etc) and finally re-point the NS pointers to our DNS servers which are:

This final step is done using your registrars system. Your registrar is the company you pay to register and renew your domain-name. Binero does not offer this service.

Note

Bineros nameservers (that is, the servers that answer the DNS queries) are not hosted with Binero but with Netnod (). By default, the DNS service does not provide anycasting capabilities but if you need that, please contact our support and we can help enable it.

Create a zone¶

To create a zone, please follow the guide below to the system you want to use:

Cloud management portal¶

To setup an DNS zone using the cloud management portal, follow these steps:

  • Press “DNS” and then “DNS zones” in the sidebar menu.

  • Press the “+” icon in the bottom right corner.

  • Input your domain-name in the “Domain” field.

  • This is for notifications.

  • Optionally enter a description.

  • In the IP-address field, add an IP-address that

  • binero dyndns
