Miljöorganisation kallas ett organisation vilket finns på grund av att värna om miljön som en huvudmål. Oftast är organisationen partipolitiskt samt religiöst obunden, och utan personligt vinstsyfte. Miljöorganisationer brukar dock inom demokratiska länder verka till att påverka politikerna inom besluten, dock då efter miljöintresse samt inte efter politiskt område.
Ett modell på ett miljöorganisation existerar Naturskyddsföreningen inom Sverige, liksom bildades samt är Sveriges äldsta samt största miljöorganisation. Världens största demokratiska miljöorganisation är Friends of the Earth tillsammans drygt numeriskt värde miljoner medlemmar i 77 självständiga nationella grupper. Den svenska grenen av Friends of the Earth existerar Jordens Vänner.
Miljöorganisationen Keren Kajemet, såsom är energisk i Israel, öppnade dock ett lokalkontor samt organisation i landet redan (som fortfarande existerar aktiv – organisationen bildades i Basel, Schweiz ) och existerar därför den miljöorganisation vilket funnits längst bort tid inom Sverige.[1]
Tidigare plats målen oftast att skydda naturområden samt räddade sällsynta djur- samt växtarter. beneath talet kom organisationerna alltmer att inrikta sig vid kampen mot miljöförstöring.

NATURSKYDDSFÖRENINGEN MALMÖ
We apply pressure to politicians, influence legislation, inform – including via our own magazines, books and press material – and organise seminars, debates and conferences. The Swedish Society for Nature Conservation has been Sweden’s most influential environmental organisation for decades and currently has around , members. Climate change, seas and fishing, forests, agriculture and environmental toxins are our priority areas of work, both nationally and globally.
For many years we have also been working on our species projects: the pilgrim falcon, the white-tailed eagle and the white-backed woodpecker. In addition, we are behind the world’s toughest environmental label, Good Environmental Choice.
Among other things, our work has contributed to:
- A ban on phosphates in laundry products
- Mt. Städjan in Dalarna being protected from exploitation
- Congestion charges being introduced in Stockholm
- Many vulnerable forests being saved
- Mangroves being replanted in a number of places in Latin America and Africa
- Triclosan toothpaste disappearing from many supermarket shelves
- White-tailed eagles and pilgrim falcons increasing in numbers

The Swedish magazine Aktuell Hållbarhet has distinguished the City of Malmö as the country’s most environmentally-friendly municipality for the second year in a row, according to the municipal website. The acknowledgement comes after the continuing efforts of the local authorities to involve other stakeholders in the city to adopt the ambitious outlook for sustainable transformation.
"We have high ambitions and high goals in Malmö. Environmental work permeates the entire organization and the city, it is a natural part of our daily work. It can be about everything from travel policy and personnel cycles to high sustainability ambitions in urban development projects," says Rebecka Persson, the City’s Environmental Director.
Switching to a more sustainable Malmö requires the entire city to work in new ways to find solutions to our common challenges. Together with the business community and academia, through test beds, the administration has developed
